Vanderbilt, Naomi Uman recently traded in her eggbeater and oven
mitts for a 16mm Bolex and acid resistant black rubber gloves.
Naomi’s work is marked by her signature handmade aesthetic, often
shooting, hand- processing and editing her films with the most
rudimentary of practices. Naomi’s films have been exhibited widely
at the Sundance and Rotterdam International Film festivals, The New
York Film Festival among other; she also screened her work at the
Guggenheim Museum, The Whitney, The Smithsonian, and Mexico City’s
Museo de Arte Moderno. She currently resides in mexico with her
small dog, where she teaches workshops in handmade filmmaking at the
Fine Art Museum in Mexico City.
Born in Bari, Italy, in 1975 where he studied Political
Science, graduating in Contemporary History.
After finishing a master in Cultural Management, he went to live in
Rome where he works in communication and doing the marketing for the
cultural events and after this with the management of the companies,
always near the Production Movie Company Fandango.
In 2004, he was contracted docent in “Techniques in audio vision
production” in Bari’s University.
In July 2007, he was the executive director of Apulia Film
Commission. The foundation consisted of Puglia Region to make
investment in the audio vision section, to make cinematographic
production, to move on with the development policies in audio vision
section in Puglia.
Davide Barletti (1972) with Lorenzo Conte, Mattia Mariani and
Edoardo Chicchetti, one of the founders of the Fluid Video Crew
Independent Audio vision Production.
They had made together more than 30 works such as documentary, long
and short films and video installation produced as video and reel
from 1995 to 2006.
They produced information reportage, documented the national and
international cultural scene, produced movies and documentaries for
the world of soccer, immigration, child’s work and for the new
bands, metropolitan spaces, until the last work about the Indian
people of Alaska, criminal world of Puglia region, the fishermen of
South Italy and for the great economic crises that has infected
Argentina and its relationship with Italy.
In 2003, he participated with the long artistic movie” Italian
South-West” in the 60th Venice Film Festival in the Nuovi
In February 2008, directed by Barletti &Conte, their last movie was
screened in the cinemas: Fine Pena Mai. In the same year, he
realized together with Edoardo Ciccehetti the documentary Diario di
uno scuro. In November 2008, Davide Barletti
directed the documentary Radio Egnatia.
Kristaq Skrami was born in Vlora, graduated in Arts
Academy in Tirana. Since 1982 he has been an actor and in the same
time Director in Petro Marko theater feasibling 65 role in the
theatre and 13 role in cinema, mentioning here Jeta në duart e
tjetrit”, “Pranvera s’erdhi vetëm”, “Bota e padukshme”, “Gracka”,
“Në prag të lirisë”, “Një jetë më shumë” etc. From 1993 he worked
as film director of “Petro Marko” theatre. Currently he is the
director of “National Theatre.”
1978, he was graduated in Drama, Actor, at the Art Academy in
Tirana. In August 1978, he started work as an actor at the National
Theater where he still works.
He has played more than 30 roles in theater and more than 20 in
movies. He has played in national and foreign works.
He has participated in several festivals outside Albania such as:
Sozopol – Bulgaria, Ohrid, Thessaloniki, Athens etc.
He has attended a specialization in director, in France, in 1994
with the director Daniel Mesgish.
He was the director in theater with 15 (professional and amateur)
In the movies, he collaborates as assistant director and director.
He has participated in different festivals with the short movie “The
Veton Nurkollari Is
professional photographer and art curator. In 2002 he co-founded
Dokufest - Int.Documentary and Short Film Festival in Prizren,
Since 2004 he is serving as Artistic Director of the festival and is
in charge of overall programming of it.
He is also co-curator of DokuPhoto, annual showcase of documentary
photography that runs alongside film festival. Currently, he is
involved in promotion of film through the weekly screenings of
socially engaged as well as educational documentaries under the
series titled "Documentary Mondays". Veton has already participated
as jury member at festivals such as Zagreb Film Festival, Hamburg
Short Film Festival, Forli Film Festival etc. He also writes about
the film and music in Kosovo’s daily “Express” and weekly “Java”.
Ylli Pepo, was born in Korca, in 1948, graduated in
Tirana University, Faculty of Philology and History, Albanian
Language and Literature course (1965-1969), specialized as producer
at BMC (Baltic Movie Center) in 2000, in Denmark. He works actually
as director, journalist and producer at the Albanian Radio
Television, with a wide contribution in the field of art. He has
received many high titles, such as: Deserved Artist of Albania. He
has received the medal and the order of the first class “NAIM
FRASHERI”, Head coordinator of the National Project of the
Stability Pact for South Eastern
Europe TELESEE NETWORK and many others.
He was declared the best director of Balkan for the television
programs in 1998. His best works are the television programs,
artistic movies, such as: 2001, February 2002: “People and Fate” (20
series),script by Ruzhdi Pulaha, 2001-2002: “YLLKA”(co-director
and the first Swiss and Albanian coproduction), co-director Maya
Simon, script by Besa Myftiu and many others, documentary movies,
such as: 1990: “KOSOVO with her big truths”(4 series), 1991: “Kosovo
symphony in eight times”,1992: “Gjergj Fishta”script by Skender
Bucpapaj and many others. Collaborator of many well-known directors
of Europe, he has participated in many artistic events, as a jury
member and permanent member.
Elsa Demo is editor-in-chief of the culture pages of “Shekulli”,
Abania’s largest daily newspaper. She began her journalistic career
soon after her degree in literature at Tirana’s University, covering
cultural pages as a journalist and editor for the daily “Koha Jonë”,
to then join the founding group of journalists of “Korrieri”,
another Albanian daily newsapper.
In 2003 she was called by “Shekulli” to be a journalist and critic
in charge of the culture pages. Elsa has written hundreds of
articles on films, and is a regular guest at several international

the “Trendy“magazine. Since April 2005 she works as a culuture
journalist in the Vizion Plus television. She has taken part about

with trouma or family problems“, also another seminar organized by
The Media Institute for Searches of the information on the Internet

He was freelance writer and journalist from 1991, after finishing
university studying, and he wrote many stories and articles in
periodic press. Journalist of independent newspaper "Koha Jone",
redactor and editor in chief 1993-1997, redactor of weekly magazine
"Klan" 1998, editor in chief of "Spekter" magazine 1999, editor in
chief of "Shekulli", the biggest daily paper, 1999-2002, editor in
chief of "Ballkan" daily paper 2003-2005, Director of ALNA News
Agency, 2005, Director of the News Department of TV Norba 2005-2006,
editor in chief of "Albania" daily paper 2006-2007, to date he is
editor in chief of "Sot", daily newspaper.
Zamir Alushi is Generally Secretary of Association of European
Journalists (Branch of Albania) from 2001, when Albania became
member of this association in Congress of AEJ in Berlin. He was
awarded for investigative journalism and reportages from Soros Media
Foundation on 1998
