>>> The first
edition of Tirana International Film Festival submitted 329 filmmakers from
43 countries around the world. From this number the Committee of Festival
selected 82 movies, fiction, documentaries, animation and
experimental, representative of the film industry of 30 countries.

>>> Two special categories are added in the
competition; the one dedicated to experimental movies (30 submissions) and
the film category of student filmmakers (25 submissions).
>>> The opening night of the Tirana
International Film Festival, followed by a cocktail, will be organized in
the premises of Tirana International Hotel, 1 December 2003. Besides the
guests-filmmakers in the competition they will participate as well
personalities of the Albanian cinematography, artists, senior officials of
the Albanian Government and the diplomatic corps representatives in Tirana.
>>> The screening of the movies in the official
competition will take place every day at “Millenium 2” Movie Theater. In
late afternoon it will be a screening session dedicated to the Albanian
public as well.
