A young man wakes up to discover that he is located in a foreign land. He knows no one, does not speak the language, and he knows terribly well that someone is hunting him. Before panic takes control, he decides to seek up in the heights. Naked, exposed and alone, he must make the choice of his lifetime: Jump or not.

Petter Skafle Henriksen (b.1987) studied directing in Stockholm, and has a BA in psychology from Oslo and Singapore. He has directed several short films, and is just discovered the world of short film festivals. \"The boy and the abyss\" was filmed in Sardinia while attending Skepto International Film Festival in 2013.
